Grand Theft Auto V is an open-world action-adventure video game developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. It was released on September 17, 2013 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and on November 18, 2014 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Its release is scheduled for January 27, 2020 for Microsoft Windows. The game is the first main entry in the Grand Theft Auto series since Grand Theft Auto IV in 2008. Set in the fictitious state of San Andreas (based in southern California), the solo story follows three criminals and their efforts to commit burglaries under pressure from a government agency.
