The new Radxa Rock Pi 4 version 1.4 is here and in this video, I test a little Android by force on the Single Board computer using the new version of Android TV 9.0!
The Rock Pi is powered by the RockChip RK3399 six-core processor 1.2 or 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and is supported by a Mali quad-core GPU! Let's see how this SBC works. In my next video, I pitted the Raspberry Pi 4 against the Rock Pi 4 to see which card is the most powerful.

ReplyDeletehi there great instruction wondering if you can install Android 9.0 on the pi 4 and then try to download DJI fly app for the mavic mini and see if it will run I would like to know instead of buying the pi 4 and finding out it doesn't work
ReplyDeleteI wanted to know if this board is better than RPi4 or not. Also is it worth the additional money when compared to RPi4 in terms of running a desktop/ android and running video streaming, touch control (like a tablet touchscreen)
ReplyDeleteWould like to see rock pi 4 vs raspberry pi 4.
ReplyDeleteCan we us Cloud Gaming on Pie 4?
ReplyDeleteWhich OS will run best on it?
ReplyDeleteIt's just great performance it's just amasing!!! great job
ReplyDeleteHow they made it so well?!!!??
If I wanted to build a touch screen, full Android, head unit for navigation and audio streaming, what board should I look at, it seems they all have some shortcoming. I'm using an old joying unit but it's showing it's age, I'm about to just buy a newer one but was looking for more power, any suggestions welcome and thanks (I drive a lot for work, also I use my hotspot for connectivity)
ReplyDeleteWhy do you ALL say "I will do farther review or review if the interest is there" of course there is and just do the damn reviews already. So freaking annoying.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the vid! Are you able to confirm that the v1.4 of of the Rock Pi 4 has an external wi-fi antenna socket? Radxa's website says the new v1.4 board has one, but I can't see it in any pics. Cheers mate.
ReplyDeleteRecal box on raspberry pi 4

ReplyDeleteGreat work 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
ReplyDeleteRK3399 has yet to be optimized for android, even after all this time.
ReplyDeleteThe Linux hopefully will do better, hope to see you do that soon.
I hope they get Netflix working on this SBC and fix its other bugs. I would consider buying one if they do.
ReplyDeleteThere is definitely interest in the extra videos you suggested! (Accessories, other OSes, ...)
ReplyDeleteI won't trust these people till they realize that people actually need an OS for their Rock Pi S . Thats I a device that they currently sell with no OS options. It's not like they dropped support for an old device
ReplyDeleteI want to see Manjaro with DXvk wine staging
ReplyDeleteI would like to see how this runs on the m.2 SSD on any of the OSes.
ReplyDeleteCan this run the latest version of gimp?
ReplyDeleteNo real surprise for me the all RK chips have always been kinda janky when running Android which is shame as they got used in a lot of dirt cheap android phones and tablets...have you tested this board with a Linux distro yet ??...thanks for all the vids dude.
ReplyDeletePliz play pubg mobile pliz... Your no1 subscriber..
ReplyDeleteWould like this one compared to the Pi 4.
ReplyDeleteThis vs pi 4 vs xu4. Xu4 is probably currently in the lead with optimization, will the other 2 be much better?
ReplyDeleteis there a way you can do a video step by step installing the image of android tv 9. Thanks
ReplyDeleteHere's my comparison between Pi4 (4gig) and the Rock Pi 4 (4gig) . The Raspberry Pi4 runs great on Raspian. The Rock Pi 4 runs only on Debian but not a thing on it works. It can't even run its own nvme card. Use the new Pi4 and don't waste you time on the Rock Pi..........................
ReplyDeleteI like to know if it can play the new mario kart tour thaks
ReplyDeletethis is something to consider with manjaro as a competition to rpi4
ReplyDeleteTotally interested in more on this. I like the full size HDMI interface
ReplyDeleteIs there a Android option for the raspberry pi 4?
ReplyDeleteWhere are you downloading Android TV from?
ReplyDeleteManjaro hopefully with accelerated graphics for video and Rasp pi 4 comparo.
ReplyDeleteBro, could you please test recalbox, cause I'm thinking of making a console with this SoC.
ReplyDeleteLooks like it runs without any a53 cores, just the a72 ones
