Quite disappointed with this review. Its not hard to see that this port has a serious engine flaw that causes a microstutter every 15-20 seconds. It can easily be observed by panning the camera continuously, and I easily feel it during gameplay. Its a stuttery mess and while it might be the best port, its still broken.
Heynthere! I just bought this on Steam, and I've been excited to play Bayonetta for a long time. However, I'm gettjng some serious lag even on the lowest graphics setting! Any tips?
Graphics shouldn't matter at all. Get the game on any game system that you have. Xbox 360 can get it, PS3 players can have it, and if you only own a PC then get it there. Just don't be PC Master idiots.
baynoetta is an ok game overall. it's actually over hyped in my opinion. the gameplay are the best thing about this game. just don't go into these type of game for great characters and story plots. your not gonna get it here. since it's made by the same developers of the original devil may cry series, it's pretty much more or less just like that. but more over the top than dmc. if dante was a over the top sexy female hero, he would be baynoetta. nothing too special about this game other than better gameplay. dmc still has better developed characters and stories in my opinion. hell there's even a scene in baynoetta that's does the doppelganger switch just like in dmc series. her character personality is almost exactly like dante excluding the magic summoning and over sexualized female look. so get this game for gameplay and it's fine.
Well my GTX 1050ti isnt even as good as the "lesser hardware" you mentioned...
Still, instead of droning on about how your superior hardware could squeeze 5K out of the game, the real question should be does its gameplay hold up against a modern AAA game of the genre like Nioh/Nier/Dark Souls 3?
I may not be able to play a game on 10k+120fps or whatever, but I can still play those so the question is, is Bayonetta still worth it?
The PC port is actually garbage. White screen. Doesn't start. Doesn't do Fullscreen Borderless, doesn't support DS4 controllers. At one point i just lost sound and keyboard control. Other people report crashes too. It is utter garbage.
When people say that "its an old game" wtf,.... its not a smartphone dude, its a game these things are timeless..... its2017 and i just played original FINALFANTASY 9 and i fucking loved it.
Hey Sega time for a native 4k 60fps version on my pro, don't let pc have all the fun! time 2 apologise to all ps4 owners 4 the shitty ps3 version that was poorly coded and make up with a mint ps4 1080 60fps & 4k native 60fps pro port, Sony fan boys will lap it up and IT'S more money 4 you XD
Well, I tried this PC port on my old dualcore with GTX650 on middle-low settings - and perfomance wasn`t good at all. Frankly speaking, aside from that first mission, I prefer awful PS3 port, because its fps was more stable in general...

if they managed to make it run in 1080p 60fps on the switch, plus high resolution textures, it could become the best looking game on the platform.
