No, the wii and the other consoles are different. It's motion controls were about fitness and getting up off your couch and breaking the stereotype that gamers are all pigs. It also isn't about graphics, it's about getting together with family and friends and having fun, like the old days with the nes, snes, and n64.

I really like the best games list here except one- Paper Mario. It is a stinking rotten pile of shit that is only held together by a sad, story of two lovers. The levels are shit, the design of the towns/levels/bosses were shit and was the equivelent of all the worst shovelware of the Wii console.
The Super Star that turned you into large mario and the Boss Dragon that goes haywire were some of its really nice shining moments though. They could have done so much more with large mario but no... Any game that one of the levels consists of going to the end of it on the right hand side to get a scroll so some little alien can use it as toilet paper is complete garbage... and most things in the game show thats the way they all treated this game before it came out.
Hey dude I've watched a lot of Wii tip tens but yours is by far the closest to what I'd rate them as! Super Paper Mario and Mario Strikers Charged are great hidden gems, and I think SPM holds it own in it's series. (Sticker Star killed it for me) Also Loz: skyward Sword has its problems so I also agree that twilight Princess wins out for me. Anyways keep up great videos!
Half of the games mentioned here have nothing to do on the list. Why even talk about RE 4 and Twilight Princess? They're not Wii exclusives. Where are Fire Emblem - Radiant Dawn, Metroid – Other M and Xenoblade Chronicles?...

My favorite Nintendo Wii games are: Mortal Kombat Armageddon, Dead Space: Extraction, Prince of Persia (The Forgotten Sands, Rival Swords), Resident Evil (Zero, Remake, Umbrella Chronicles, Darkside Chronicles), The Conduit 1-2, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Jurassic: The Hunted, The Destiny of Zorro, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, WALL-E, Metroid Prime Trilogy, 007: Quantum of Solace, GoldenEye 007, Heatseeker, Manhunt 2, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 1-2, Tetris Party, Deadly Creatures, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2-3, Bully, Red Steel, Call of Duty: World at War, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Animal Crossing: City Folk, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, Pandora's Tower, X-Men: Destiny.
I would say yes to that last title, but it killed my Wii literally because it was the meth inducing addiction that wanted to play over again. This disk killer will go down in my history as bring it back only if they fixed that problem as a readable disk.
You know, not all of these games appeal to me, but I really appreciate that it was different from most other generic lists, and had some games that most people don't hear about often.

DKC returns sucked , the graphics and the sound were good but then they go and throw a new move set which was a terrible idear, blow into the wii remote and that stupid ground thumping move to pull up planted objects...it just ruined it for me ....oh and the 2d into 3d thing sucked, just keep it original please
Have to disagree with you on DKC Returns. The originals have perfect controls. Returns has irritating controls. Rolling and jumping just sends you flying out of control if you're used to the originals. And why the hell do I have to shake the controller to roll?! What were they thinking?!
I didn't realize Nintendo put out so many decent games for the Wii Console. For a long time I thought Wii WAS Wii Sports. I'm going out to look for used Wii games..

ReplyDeleteThis is a good list.....if all you're looking for is cartoon platformers, and ports that were vastly superior on GameCube (RE4, Twilight Princess).
ReplyDeleteNo Wii Top10 is worthy without the likes of Metroid Prime III, XenoBlade Chronicles, and Zelda Skyward Sword on it. And Fire Emblem for that matter.
