This computer is representative of the dreaded family PC. It has 1 GB of RAM, a slow dual core processor and integrated graphics. If you're stuck in a home where it's your only option for computing, you might feel like modern PC games are just out of reach. Especially when many home computers like this are small, which usually have no space or room for power. This is where you have to get creative.
First, I thought I would get a performance base before I start my upgrades. I tested Half-Life 2 and was amazed at how poor the performance was. It was playable on low settings, but for a game like Half Life 2 that can work on just about anything, that's not a good sign. The case proudly claims to have nvidia graphics, so you think this computer would be somewhat decent in games. Well, that's not the case, in fact the Geforce 6150se graphics are so bad that a GeForce 210 is 2137% faster. Even the graphics integrated into cost-effective laptops at the time were almost 500% faster.
It is therefore clear that the graphics and the ram need to be upgraded. So I gave myself only $ 50 to prepare this computer game. In this way, anyone in this situation has an easy and inexpensive way out.

  1. If you have one of these PC's the card to use is a low profile single slot R5 240 1GB. (around $10-15 on ebay) Add the graphics card, and upgrade the ram to the 4GB max ($10 on eBAY) then add in a x300 Sandisk SSD ($15 on eBAY) with a full size HD install bracket ($5) and you can easily have a decent budget gaming PC without all of the trouble this guy had. The memory, graphics card and SSD will make it virtually a new computer capable of running most top games at low- med settings.

  12. My computer used to be a beast when it came out and was in its prime (9 years ago). About a year back my cousin gave me his old PC because he custom built his own and it was really good for a bit and then it turned into the shittiest thing ever and by that the highest thing I can get out of it is 2 fps in Fortnite. I greatly appreciated this video because it helped me turn my shitty computer into something great.
